Pathological Anatomy

Pathological anatomy is the science that studies the pathophysiological and morphological alterations of the disease. It studies disease at the organic, tissue, cellular, subcellular, and molecular levels. The main objective of pathological anatomy is not only to study the evolution and causes of a disease, but also to make a prognosis of the effects that different diseases can have on human beings. To do this, the cells of the tumors and tissues of the organism are analyzed.

Thus, within pathological and cytodiagnostic studies, two types of tests are differentiated: pathological and diagnostic. In the first of them, a sample of tissue from any organ is analyzed with the intention of identifying the type of cell and what treatments would be useful to combat the alteration. Types of pathology instruments that a laboratory may need

Water Baths

They are a very common element in any type of microbiological laboratory. This type of equipment is a container that is capable of containing hot water to incubate samples in water at a constant temperature for a long period of time. Water baths generally have an interface that allows the user to set the proper temperature to achieve the desired results. This model is no exception.

Among its uses, you can find heating of reagents, fusion of substrates or incubation of cell cultures. There are some recommendations when it comes to the use of water baths. First, experts do not recommend using the water bath with pyrophoric or moisture-sensitive reactions. Second, you need to constantly monitor the water level and only use distilled water; the reason is that you don't want salts to deposit on the heater.

 
 

Bacti-Cinerator Sterilizer

The bacti-cinerator sterilizer sterilizes microorganisms using infrared heat produced by a central ceramic element. The ceramic element does not contain asbestos and guarantees maximum sterility without splashing on the work surface. Complete sterilization occurs within 5-7 seconds at the optimum sterilization temperature of 1500ºF (815.6ºC). The small size makes the bacti-cinerator sterilizer an ideal instrument for anaerobic and aerobic chambers
