For the sterilization of the handles used in microbiology laboratories, the use of the Bacticinerator is ideal. This disinfects handles made of platinum, needles, glass tube/pipette nozzles, and various glass and metal instruments by incinerating at temperatures between 500 ยฐC to 815 ยฐC or more. These processes succeed in eliminating pathogenic and non-pathogenic microbial load from culture instruments. In this sense, the Bacticinerator is applied in food, pharmaceutical and / or cosmetic industries; passing and diluting samples up to 1g, avoiding microbial contamination.

In this sense, during the manufacture of products either of medicines, cosmetics and food, sterilized tools must be maintained and handles are the appropriate instruments for such preparations and in this way large-scale contamination is avoided, as is done in laboratories and industries. Finally, the Bacticinerator is the recommended equipment to be used inside the cabins.

Uses and Applications of the Bacticinerator

During the production of products, there are thousands of particles in the air causing pollution and in the production of cosmetics or pharmaceuticals, it is required that it is free of microorganisms; therefore inside the cabins the Bacticinerator is used for sterilization of the handles and that the preparations are not contaminated, so that in this way can reduce the entry of pollutants.

In addition, thanks to the participation of laminar flow hoods and biosafety cabinets, they are used as a basis to give functionality to the Bacticineradores, since they are responsible for protecting the contents of the samples, the user and the environment that surrounds them, and thus ensuring the disinfection of the handles through the heat emitted by the equipment, it is heated to red hot to sterilize it and, when it has cooled, a sample of the bacterial culture is taken. The amount of inoculum depends on the diameter of the filament ring.

Types of Loops as Bacticiner Tool

In microbiology laboratories, they use dragging techniques and taking small samples to be visualized by the microscope, being the only suitable method to transfer substances and be studied. For this reason, the use of handles become essential tools.

In this sense, there is the bacteriological loop type clamp, which is sterilized with the Bacticinerator, and consists of a base that can be nichrome, tungsten platinum ending in hoop or tip. It is used to move, drag or cross small bodies containing suspended micro-organisms from the working medium also called โ€˜stock solutionโ€™ to the culture fragmented, either solid or liquid. It is also used for smear.

The bacteriological handles, must be completely closed, is characterized by a diameter not exceeding 3 mm, and with a stem not greater than 5 cm. The same, should be held in metal handles, and not glass. The amount of inoculum passed is determined by the diameter of the filament’s end ring, which is calibrated, and normally ranges from 0.1 to 0.001 ml. Among them, there are three types:

  • No color, not calibrated and tip is straight.
  • Color Black, calibrated and its measurement is a tip diameter 1/100 5mm
  • Color Red, calibrated, corresponds to tip diameter 1/1000 3 mm

Bacticinerators brand Kalstein

It is important to have environmentally responsible equipment, which protects you from flammable products and substances, and our Bacticineradores, comply with all of this. They belong to the YR series, and have attractive features, such as: it uses infrared heat derived by a central ceramic mechanism. It does not contain asbestos and certifies maximum sterility without splashing on the work surface. Complete purification occurs within 5-7 seconds, at an optimal sterilization temperature of 1500ยบF (815.6ยบC).
